Creating a Tournament

Set up your tournament in a few guided steps using the tournament wizard.

Use the tournament wizard to create your event inside an organization. Organization ownership keeps staff access, Discord, billing, progression, and competition records together.

Setup steps

  1. 1

    Details

Name your tournament, add a banner image, description, and custom URL.

  2. 2

    Format

Choose the game, bracket format (Single Elimination, Double Elimination, Round Robin, or Swiss), team size, region, and platform. See the Formats page for details on each bracket type.

  3. 3

    Schedule

Set the tournament start time, registration window, and optional check-in period.

  4. 4

    Community

Configure roster settings, visibility (public, unlisted, or invite-only), prizes, sponsors, and Discord integration. You can also enable Player Pool Mode for team tournaments, where individual players sign up and you assign them to balanced teams.

  5. 5

    Review and publish

Review all settings, then publish your tournament so the intended audience can register. Share its URL through your own Discord server and community channels. Public visibility does not guarantee platform-wide promotion or discovery.

After publishing, competitors in the connected Discord server can run /gotnext tournaments to find the organization's active events. Supported solo registration, check-in, match lookup, and result reporting are also available through /gotnext. Team registration and roster management remain on the web.

Before hosting a large event, run a small practice tournament with friends or community members to get comfortable with the tools and flow.
