Qualification & Finals

How Circuit standings determine which teams qualify and how finals seeding works.

A Circuit can define a qualification count and label — for example, Top 8 Finals. Public standings then show which teams are currently inside the qualifying range, giving players a live view of their qualification status throughout the season.

Qualification cutoff

Set a qualification count on the Circuit to mark a cutoff line in the standings. Teams above the line are shown as qualified; teams below see how many points they need to move up.

The qualification label (e.g. Top 8 Finals, Regional Qualifier) appears alongside the cutoff in the public standings view.

Finals seeding

Admins can seed a final tournament directly from Circuit standings. The seeding preview:

  • Ranks teams by the tiebreaker order below
  • Shows alternates for teams that are ineligible or have dropped out
  • Explains which tiebreaker resolved each placement
  • Lets the admin reorder the field before applying seeds

Applying seeds creates missing tournament entrants, reuses existing Circuit Team entrants, and assigns seed numbers for bracket generation.

Seed application is only available before bracket matches exist. Once matches are generated, seeds are locked.

Tiebreakers

When two teams have the same total points, standings resolve ties in this order:

PriorityTiebreaker
1Total Circuit points
2Best tournament placement
3Most recent tournament placement
4Latest tournament points
5Team creation date
6Team name (alphabetical)

Tiebreakers are applied automatically. If you need to manually reorder teams with identical records, use the reorder tool in the seeding preview before applying seeds.
