Player Commendations
Let players privately recognize teammates and opponents who made a match better.
Player Commendations is an optional, positive-only honor system for completed queue matches. It is off by default and never changes ELO.
Enable commendations
- 1
Open server settings
In the web dashboard, select your Discord server and open Settings.
- 2
Open Player commendations
Turn on Enable player commendations. You can separately choose whether earned honor appears on public profiles and stat cards.
- 3
Save your settings
The next completed queue match will include the optional Commend a Player action.
Player flow
- A completed queue result card shows Commend a Player.
- A participant can choose one other player from the match.
- They privately choose one positive category.
- The bot confirms the choice privately.
Giving a commendation is optional. Players can ignore the action and continue using the bot normally.
The available categories are:
- Great Teammate
- Good Sport
- Strong Communicator
- Helpful Leader
Honor badges
Consistent positive feedback can earn a visible Honor tier. A compact tier crest and the player's strongest eligible category appear on their public profile and /stats image card when public display is enabled.
The card keeps the server's selected stat-card colors. Honor is an additional label, not a replacement theme.
Safeguards
- Positive only: There is no condemn, downvote, or public negative-feedback action.
- Participant only: Spectators and staff who were not in the final match roster cannot vote.
- No self-votes: A player must choose someone else from the match.
- One per match: Each participant can give one commendation after a match.
- 15-minute window: The action closes 15 minutes after the result is completed.
- Repeat-pair protection: Repeated votes between the same two players receive less weight over time.
- Private choices: Result cards never show public vote totals or reveal who commended whom. Authorized server moderators can see voter identity in the dashboard only when investigating abuse.
Dedicated match channels remain available through the optional action window when automatic closing is enabled. Setting a queue's automatic close delay to 0 still keeps the channel open until a moderator closes it.
Moderator controls
Server owners and authorized dashboard moderators can:
- Hide an individual player's public Honor badge
- Override the visible Honor tier
- Restore automatic display
- Invalidate a suspicious commendation without deleting its audit record
- Record a required reason for every moderation change
Invalidating a commendation removes it from Honor calculations. The original vote and moderation action remain in the audit history.
Availability
Commendations support regular completed queue matches. Direct challenge wagers and tournament matches use separate match rules and do not show the action.
